# 8 Final Post. You will be OK. I promise. Love, Christina

I really enjoyed doing this. I usually keep up with the events that happen over homosexuality. I want to know how it's going to effect me as I get older. If I will ever be able to get married and have that document. Because of this research I know I'm not the only one who gets angry/sad over what's happening. I like that some people who are heterosexual support the LGBT rights. I understand more as to why people bully me over my sexuality. This blog research really opened my eyes.
I know that I am not alone. And the way I want to end this blog is by letting everyone being bullied over their sexuality or for being themselves know it will be OK.

Everything will be alright. It's difficult now but I just want everyone to know it will get better. It's difficult for me in this moment but I try to keep my attitude positive and know that everything will turn out alright. Don't ever be ashamed as to who you are. Stay true to yourself. Be you. Don't let anyone throw you down. You're not alone in this world. Just keep your head up.
You're never alone
You will be ok
It gets better
I promise.

#7 What is up with Uganda?

As many people heard Uganda has recently signed a new bill.

It pretty much says that you cannot be gay, and if you are you will be punished. Also, if you pity or speak up for someone who is gay, you will be punished.

Here is what I do not understand...it is 2014...when can everyone realize that sexuality, race, religion, education, etc. do not make someone any different from the rest of us?

We are all human.
But I guess Uganda refuses to take a notice in that. People are being beaten, killed, and jailed for being gay or even speaking to a gay person. Ugandans are committing suicide
I just do not understand why this has to keep happening.

#6 Disney Ends Funding to Boy Scouts Over Gay Policy

Disney will be ending the funding they give due to a policy that bans gay adult leaders in the organization. Although some people agree to this policy because they are afraid their son will be harmed by a gay leader. There was even a ban on having any gay members in the boy scouts. Even just as just a child. The restriction on minors was lifted effective Jan. 1, but the group kept the restriction against adult Scout leaders.

I'm personally glad that the funding will end because of this horrible policy. No one should be denied to lead a group/be part of one because of their sexual orientation. However, the ban should be lifted soon.
